Initial waking at 4 then 6 had the morning wake at 7. I laid there till before 8 when S woke to go back truck in to unhook trailer as it is getting detailed today. The coffee was on as I went to give KD her meds and clean out the stalls. Back for a coffee I did ask S to help me with a water bucket as he was having toast. After I fed Harley we got the water and fixed a nail in the door ramp. The trash was collected and thrown in the truck for S to toss at dump on his way by to drop the truck at dealer for 9 am. A driver dropped him back home not long after.
I got laundry on the go before Mom was off to get Dad to his eye appointment after a bath at 10. S got on watering grass and trees and finally figuring how to make the shop horse door lock latch as I pruned roses and shrubs.
After lunch I went to give KD her Tylenol as S had a rest in big brown. I brought in Switch and swapped her out for Roo putting on her muzzle and Roo's boots for a trial. The stalls needed cleaning again then KD got taken out for water and some free time in the sand arena. She was moving much better (hopefully not just from drugs) and rolled 3 times which I think made her feel better. Boots back on and in her stall which calmed Roo too. S once up was back to his watering task.
I moved on to digging dandelions for the horses esp KD - dandelion root is good for toxin detox. The island trees and roses were pruned with a break to help Sheldon who was onto the little trailer task. It has the fuel tank on and we need it for the side by side when we camp in July. It needs a new deck and the front bars changed to allow the ranger to fit. I passed my task of hooking up and lifting it off with flying colors, clearly an exemplary Slik serves employee. S says sure but we actually need work to be "hired".
S was back at 5 with his shiny clean truck as I was checking on the barn girls. Kd was resting even.
S brought in the groceries as I made the first HF meal ; shrimp and zesty slaw tacos for supper. S was then in big brown watching the hockey game as I worked on accounting. We headed out when B and Coop arrived with S going on another gopher run and B and I going to the barn. KD and Roo had free arena time which they enjoyed while B and I stripped the smaller stall seeing it was peed on. I was driving the load to the pit when Carolyn and Randi dropped off our tree spade. S had it unloaded and visiting when I returned from dumping. I joined the visit for a bit then back to help B who was now prepping to ride and had KD tied at hitching post.
S went back to look for gophers but I called him off at B's request as riding nearby. I put KD in her stall then caught Switch and put her in the freshly bedded one. All hay was filled and I headed to soak in the tub. S joined for a short bit then in for another phone call. B headed home after feeding the horses and giving KD her meds before 10 again as I was updating the blog.
