Off to Toronto

I had a restless sleep waking an thinking of things to pack and do before we leave and eventually just woke up before 7. I text with Mom and AJ and wrote my list out thought of thru the night.. Harley slept n the house last night which is unusual and wanted out at 4 and even barked at something outside after putting her in garage. She was fed up and horse feed soaked then coffee made. Dad is doing a bit better today Getting some food in and shuffling to the bathroom (he was requiring wheelchair last few days being so weak).

KD was given meds, the girls let out to graze for the day and a quick clean of the stalls while S did a gopher loop then put chemicals in the hot tub. We had a yogurt and blueberries breakfast S added and orange. Last minute items were grabbed from the trailer and bags loaded in the car. Unfortunately the stomach cramp and tummy issues hit before 10 again which required a delay in anything else. Fingers crossed with an Imodium taken had us on the road after 10:30.

The growth chart was delivered along #1 highway then to the airport. Kaylin had text earlier they arrived at the airport and were thru security on 5 minutes on their Seattle trip. We parked and hiked it thru the airport but had a delay at security with S not having all his liquids in one bag. Lunch was had at Chili’s before boarding after 1. The almost 4 hour flight was uneventful. I watched the 3rd in the Divergent series; Allegiant while S watched with no sound and listened to music.

Flying into Toronto was impressive on the lush green countryside and tons of trees. The fields are mainly lined in trees too looking like UK. The wind was blowing when we landed before 7:30 (5:30 MST) and hustled our way to get an Uber. No wait in TO airport if you have carry on. The Uber driver arrived in short order and had us to our Sheraton hotel by 8 pm and cost $45.21 plus tip.

Check in at the Sheraton Center hotel gave us an upgrade to city view king. We dropped our bags and headed out to find a place to eat with both of us hungry. We ended up at the Keg right on the next block and had a FABULOUS 2nd anniversary dinner of the week. I ordered pecan crusted sirloin and S had the French onion ribeye, both were soooo tasty. S had a Caesar and I had the tastiest gin basil lemonade. We also had the yummy bread and bacon wrapped scallops. On our walk back to the hotel we went across queen street to see the park at night before heading to our room to crawl into bed and relax. I wrote the blog while S perused the net and TV channels.
