Day 1011
I had Sheldon cut my hardboard for my upcoming blackboards.
after cutting he spent the rest of the day researching garburators :-) hard day off! he is claiming to be not feeling well still and by the minimal beer intake, perhaps he is!
I then painted them their first coat, put a coat of surfboard on a new bulletin board/frame and a blackboard frame, 2 coats of sunset red on a sign board
future love sign
black board pieces first coat
I hand painted a monogram on the jewel box for a repeat customer
then I wet distressed the table sets then waxed them clear first coat.
full paint then wet distress.. then wax
Shaina was off in the afternoon to spend the night with Kaylin. Britt was off to work at 4 till 7 then out with friends for supper. Matt stopped with Diego's leash and collar and a quick visit leaving as Gail and a friend pulled in. She purchased some furniture for me while I was gone as well as dropped a jewel box off to be done and check out the auction items. Dale and Vance arrived a bit late as the weather started to get crappy around 6:30. We had supper and a movie night watching "The Heat"

1010 - back to school
Day 1010 was back to school for Britt, but only today then off till Monday, go figure!
I got busy in the morning staging my latest finishes and posted for sale then was off to town at 11 to run errands before meeting my old coworkers and bosses for lunch. Shaina was our trusty waitress. Our local home Hardware is now selling APC chalk paint after I got them connected so stopped there for supplies and to put the yellow magazine rack on display for them.
Back home I started putting the vintage white on the last two tables, sprayed the hardware for the dresser and finally put it together. Time to stage and post and it was only minutes before it was sold along with the red black board and white wire frame! Good day for sales I guess.

1009 - snowy day
Day 1009 Diego thought 6:55 was good time to wake up. he spent an hour outside as the soft snow started. It snowed softly all day long but was only -5.
Britt and Sheldon were off to town just after 11 for massages and a work meeting for Britt too.
I continued projects in the shop painting a 2nd coat of white on the one end table, 2nd coat of chalk on the 2 glass, stapled chicken wire to a thick white jewelry frame, waxed it then decided to glue a couple corners which lead to repainting after wiped the glue and it took off the paint :-(, painted a IKEA pine mirror new color mommas lipstick, waxed it, sprayed the dresser hardware but the can stopped working :-(
glazed the red frame
Shaina worked at the gym at 1 and the roadhouse at 4 but fell starting her car. She hurt her back but mainly her wrist took the brunt of the fall too which was not good as it swoll up. I made scrumptious lasagna to use up my fresh mozzarella, yum! Britt was back to town to work at 5:30
after supper while Sheldon watched the hockey game, I printed dream on the mirror and waxed again with pewter mica, so pretty, just soft fine glitter
waxed the jewelry holder and glazed it an found it was now not level so had to break the glued corners in the end.. geez my learning curves never end

1008 - Britt starts her new job
Day 1008 you would think sleep in but still on Mexico time, that and Diego time :-) Coffee and a
Finally back in the shop and it was a busy day I painted a jewelry box red 2 coats and waxed 2 coats and staged for sale.
I put 2 coats of wax on the dresser, moved it inside and the drawers to dry better and get ready for staging
I scraped, wood filled and painted a large frame fire works red two coats then dark waxed it, for the glass I used actual black chalkboard paint, note to self be sure to dry 3 hours before applying 2nd coat
Britt picked up groceries on her way home from sleepover just after lunch.
Sheldon headed to town around 4 with a load of bales for a neighbor, stop at the dump, a few errands then hanging out with Craig. Britt was off to town soon after to start her new job shift at 5:30, she learns for 3 hours at a time for first few shifts.
Amanda came out just after 5 and she and I were off to The Mustard Seed to volunteer serving supper this evening. It was a really good night, well organized and amazing to see 360 people fed in under half an hour. I was the main course plate filler which was shepherds pie passing to Amanda who was gravy loader. The plates went to bun and utensil guy and then dessert guy before setting on the ledge. Almost all said thanks, many thanked us for serving them and the crowd was very diversified. There were many clean cut business looking guys and one very dolled up but nice looking elderly lady all who are down on their luck right now. Our bun/utensil guy who never uttered a word shocked us when we closed our window and the boss said if you are hungry you can eat, we of course declined but he proceeded to scoop himself two helpings and then topped up on dessert!! lol The clean up was efficient and we were home by 9 pm! For sure we will do this again and hope to drag a few more along with us.
Shaina was home from her day of shopping as was Britt from work and they played Wii until 11 with Rylan who was over as well. Sheldon was home not long after and we both hit the sheets tuckered from a day of actually doing things and not laying in the sun!

1007 - back to the cold white north
Day 1007 we awoke to sunshine but -14!!! Calgon take me away! Sheldon made coffee and was off to get Diego by 9. Slow day for all, laundry and unpacking and wishing there was an unlimited buffet of food to choose from rather than the barren fridge :-) it seems we all came home with added pounds but like the clothes that never dry and make your suitcase heavier that seemed to be the same for us as today everyone was losing a couple pounds at a time. It could also be the moisture leaving our soft supple brown skin :-(
Sheldon did take the horses a bale out after his after lunch nap while I did accounting for awhile. Britt headed to town to meet Brooke and Amber and have a sleep over before supper while Shaina stayed to enjoy a roast chicken supper with Sheldon and I then she too was off for a sleep over with Jenna.
few more photos to share of my 350

999 - 1006 Off to Mexico
Day 999 we were all up very early ready to hit the road to airport closing the gate at 3:05 am. It was a long day of travel but since starting in the night we arrived by noon
Many highlights of the week were
Britt read 4 books, Myself 2 (finishing # 2 just before landing) Shaina 1 and part of 2 when I was not reading
yes there are sea snakes but only saw one and not while in the water
dolphins and whales made a few appearances which were cool to see even from afar
this resort stocks clamato.. so red eyes and ceasars were abundant
The travel day home (1006) seemed longer as we had to check out at 8:15 and head to airport just after 9, the wait to fly home and the 5 hour flight seemed a little less but then it took a couple hours after landing, getting luggage and finding a tims till picking up Coco at Paetz's by 7. Time to go home, Shaina cooked up a light supper of spaghetti and off to comfort of our beds!
