Rain and a cowboy concert

Shaina's after bday post :)

Another "sleep in" day till 8:30. I hit the coffee pot as I went to feed H and soak some beet pulp quick. As I passed by I grabbed a couple cups and served the sleeping prince in bed. The day looks overcast but no rain yet as forecast. I took the med mash to KD then put her with muzzle on and Pepper out in the barn paddock and locked in with the others. The stalls were cleaned too all in my housecoat :) Back in the house S was having breakfast and researching his last dental cleaning on his laptop. I watered all the plants upstairs and down and he had the water going from the last water tank on flowers and trees.

KD fits the new boots

Moving on to catching up and publishing the blog S headed out to put trailer back in shop and take a gopher loop in the ranger. Laundry folding was up for me and other inside tidying. B was out at 12:30 as I was making us another spinach chicken salad for lunch. She checked horses and was off in less than an hour to drive to Bragg Creek for a work paint ball and supper event leaving Cooper here.

sand cherry blooms are so pretty right?

I have not done one workout for my new coaching with Body Smart so fit that in quick while Sheldon had a hot tub. I then went and put KD and Pepper in the stalls, refilled hay and fluffed bedding before coming in to rinse off and get prepped to head to town. I fed both dogs leaving H with a bone in the garage then we were off to town at 3. We stopped to visit dad only to find him napping so let him to sleep as it would have been a short visit anyway. S ordered pizza to take to Stout's but since we had not visit we went to the restaurant to wait for it and have a beer.

When it was ready we headed over to Stout's. A quick visit with Stan and Mabel then they were off then we had pizza and a few beers before heading to our Cowboy Concert at the Ag grounds. We dressed for cool weather but the wind made us all feel colder and not into having more then 2 cocktails there. The concert itself was really good with only a small crowd starting with Emerson Drive. When Arron Prichett finished up at after 10 the rain was starting to come down.

Here are a couple videos for you too

We hustled to the car skipping the Drew Gregory portion and stopped back at Stouts to drop them off and have one drink and popcorn before heading home. Stouts showed us the new Paetz mansion on our way to their place.... wow wee!! We were back home in the light rain by 11:30 to crawl in bed. I of course had to watch some Lincoln Lawyer while S perused sport to catch Oiliers loss highlights then fast asleep. Thanks Britt for coming to do evening meds after her work party!
