Today is going to be a much needed cooler day, it even looked like rain may come after 5 when I let H out. She wanted back in at 6 then out when fed at usual time. Our morning plan consisted of moving furniture from under the hoist to get the fireball out. Once out and a test drive done the battery was set to charge.
I had brought home a tray I had did for Sharon a few years back that was having bleed thru that makes me crazy so I gave it two coats of clear blocker. Lunch and the news then S took the skid steer down to push weeds around in the pit while I caught up the blog and got things organized for our week. This am had 2 offers of furniture with some in the Hat where we also have other pieces to pick up from Ma and Pa K. Tomorrow looks like the day to make a run east.
S was back in less then an hour ready for a quick run to town in the fireball to drop off the Etsy parcel and run a few more errands. We ran to town at 2 dropping the parcel, letting Cooper out and leaving a parcel on the step while picking up a jewelry box that was left on the step :) Of course I had to deadhead her peonies too then we were off to get an iced coffee and some paint stripper.
Our next stop was to pick up the repaired lawn mower but it seems the fix may not have worked as the fellow tried to start it unsuccessfully many times LOL. The last 2 stops were to grab some booze which has been forever and groceries. Sheldon stayed in the vehicle most times and always had some conversation with strangers about the truck.
We were back at the ranch before 4 where Amanda and Aislyn were unloading their trailer. S worked on grading the weeds from the road edges while little A and I found Mr J and she gave H 20 hugs.
Supper was yummy barbequed burgers, coleslaw and corn on the cob. B was out after 6:30 and popped in to have the last burger then she set off to feed horses and moved on to trimming. I donned my jeans and boots and went and caught Switch and we took her and Bird inside and trimmed them both while a bit of rain sprinkled down. She and Cooper were off for home before 9. I jumped into the shower then did some computer work. After the big win for the Canadiens S hooked up the cargo trailer ready for the road trip tomorrow then off to bed. I watched more Startups episodes as he snoozed.
