Brrr the day is cool and dreary looking and temperature dropping to 0. The mist is now forming ice on the deck. The horses ate all the hay in the nets, dang. This is not going to work as will be lots of work. Stouts were out at 10 got get their horses and take for a trim. It was just starting to snow lightly. Zelos was left at the barn and will be wintered there. They brought Timba back and let out with his blanket. I clear coated the high chair a third coat.
At 12 S took a bale to the horses hoping to roll half of it in a few piles. Dave was pulling in the gate and gave him a hand manning the winter pasture gate to get in with the bale and skid steer. Dave brought Cooper to the house. S left the skid steer at the gate and walked to house. I made a pot of coffee for them. The last of the turkey casserole was had for lunch.
I used the soft brush to clean the blinds in our room. This moved to the furniture being vacuumed. Then swapped to power bar for a good carpet vacuum. The snow came down heavier and temps dropped to -4. I have not made kombucha for a very long time. Time to be put all the green bottles I stored in the laundry room. S was home after 5 grabbing milk and a new smoke detector. He worked on the install as I prepped bison stew in the instant pot.
Dave was back not long after. He joined S for snacks and a beer. B had a slow drive home in the storm not making it till just after 6:30. She bundled up and fed Bird. Hot stew and garlic bread was had by 3 of us. Britt came in but changed her mind to put Bird and Beibs blankets on. Dave helped with Beibs then they were off at 7:30. Amber had made supper so B opted for it. The baseball game continued in bed for S while I read. To cold and snowy to venture to the tub.
