Early Sunday with H heading out for a pee at 3 am when S was up for one too then again when S was up at 6 I put her in the garage to wait for her breakfast. However I could not sleep past 7 so perused my Instagram and played some cookie jam. The magpies were ravaging the apple tree but guess where the gun is? yep shop so S donned his house coat to fetch it after 8 but they flocked off when he did. Coffee was his next plan for the day and his phone. I chose iced coffee to do my marketing and accounting.
J loves to be part of the pack, now if H would only accept his massages
As we were getting ready at 11 the sun popped out making for well needed sunshine but still only 14 degrees. S had a nap in big brown while I worked on blog and adding photos he took to older posts (check back a couple days) Lunch was leftover steak supper and kombucha. S ate his on the deck seeing sunny out.
this is a photo S took while I was in Hat
B and Cooper arrived after 12:30, once Coop did his biz the dogs were put inside and we were on the road. Being early we ran into Lowe's to check ruler boards but they were even more at $21.99, no way!
some of the Moore's girls, can you find B?
The track was our next stop for the next 4 hours. We had sunshine, bit of wind, then some rain and back to sun shine with a rainbow. The Moore's sponsored event had $20 food credit at the food truck and 2 drink tickets and after their Moore Mile race #9 dessert was served. It was very lovely and appreciated. Shaina even joined us for a short time arriving for the wind and rain part wearing only shorts and a t-shirt. Thanks to her Dad for a coat to borrow. We had a short but good visit with Tami C but missed getting a visit with her Mom Shirley who had a race in her honor. We were off for home after the last race.
Shirley's winners blanket
look who's out front?

after the rain races were held under a double rainbow
The Moore mile is underway
however there was a recall requiring a restart
And sadly Dave came in 2nd, had he won at his odds were super high and many would have recouped $$
The fancy dessert served after the Moore Mile race
Then the sun was back out and the rainbow too
There was allot of muddy faces by race #10
As we passed thru Chestermere we saw hail everywhere and dark going east. We followed right into the storm even stopping on the side of the highway where so many others were. Once we turned south it let up easing up of course as we arrived home to just wind and a few sprinkles. S checked and it was about 2/10ths. B fed her horses after we fed the dogs. I vacuumed the dog hair all over from the roughhousing pups lol. S took kitties some soft food then hit the couch and internet. B headed home where it was still pouring in town.
I bottled blueberry ginger kombucha and made a new batch then jumped in the shower. Time to catch up blog while watching my iPad. Of course I watched more in bed where S was watching Blindspot on his iPad as well too.
