Day 3 of stampede - bull run #2

It was not quite as early today, H went out at 7 but I did not feed her and kitties till almost 9. I realized that we did not eat anything yesterday after our leftover lunch; S did have a couple sandwich's at the rodeo and a piece of pepperoni at Paetz's!  Shower was next in order. S had cereal while I went out and took off Roo's blanket. It is going to be a hot one as already 24 out. He was off to the rodeo meeting before 10 while I caught up the blog with an iced coffee.

I also found I had an Etsy sale for the S&P's late last night! Yeah!!

S was back from the meeting after 11 and it is now 28. We had a bite to eat, loaded the glider and firepit and Harley and headed to town. We dropped the stuff and H at B's for another care day. Heading to the ground we stopped at the food booth to grab a burger then looped around to park on the north end. Today we chose to sit in the shady bleachers seeing it was up to 33 now!!

Kaylin and Devon along with Devon's mom arrived at the house at 3:30 to introduce the dogs once B arrived and let them play. They had a blast. These are videos from D.

Once the rodeo ended S grabbed a beef on a bun and we headed over to a short rodeo meeting to change setup of how bulls come out, a quick visit with friends then to the infield to get the bull set up going. Again we had it all done by 5 when Shaina arrived to help (I gave her the old times)

There was the native dance again, I videoed but it saved sideways but S had these stills below from yesterday.

Tonight's running was pretty uneventful Round 1 Round 2 (again sideways saved)  Round 3 but Devon caught these hits.

They had trouble getting round 3 bulls out, this curled horn one was feisty

Clean up went really fast as a few contestants even stayed to help. Chucks were up next, this is heat #4 and all went well till the 8th heat when a horse broke its leg after crossing the finish line. Always sad event when this happens. We all headed to the ranch after the last heat.

The Calgary crew arrived ahead of us and the 3 dogs were out playing; ok 2 were playing and Lexi was doing her own thing. We started a fire and had a nice visit watching the 2 pups play non stop. Shaina was the first to leave at 11 followed closely by the Calgary crew then we were off to bed. 3 days in the heat and 1 late night has drained us.
