Plus 9 and winds all night had 98% of the snow gone. Spring brings dirty muddy floors, time to wash after a morning vacuum. S headed out to his base building around 10. I was off to the garage. The table was dark stained over the white for a pattern barn duped finish. It turned out well but did require a bit of cussing on the large top.
We met back inside for lunch and the news. Britt dropped Cooper off while we were eating and off to the city for an appointment on her day off. I got my paint order in as S perused YouTube. He found his info then headed out to the shop. I made my way to the garage and clear coated the pieces.
The sun popped out at 2 so I sent the dogs out with bones and threw some in the slow cooker to make broth. I planted calendula, dark purple petunia, nasturtium, Larkspur and zinnia seeds in the pots I potted my canna bulbs in. I covered in plastic and misted hoping for a mini greenhouse to get them growing.
S ran 2 more finished bases over to Matt’s then another when he went to look for a hole saw for his waterer project. B arrived back at 3:30 as I was adding another clear coat to the table. She fed then was off for home. It was happy hour with a game of Tantrix, fresh guacamole and chips too. This made the timing perfect to go have a hot tub soak. Harley’s food was delivered. I started supper after my shower making a mushroom goulash. It is crazy how much of a green tinge the grass has by the end of today.
I was red.. scored 52 on the loop!
While S watched hockey, I relaxed in bed watching McLeod's Daughters. When he joined me in bed, we started Friends in Low Places. When S shut up the shop he saw a stray cat had taken up residence in the eve. Our neighbour sent this same cat picture last month asking if ours. Seems he has moved here to the all inclusive place. He went back out with soft food and set a trap.
