Renn gets ears pierced & Shaina gives notice

Be darned if H was not wanting out at 3:15 again. We then managed to sleep in till after 9 as a bonus. I got the animals fed and S got the coffee going and our day was underway. Dave dropped Cooper off at 10 then off to the city. Accounting, marketing, laundry and a dozen eggs boiled for me while S perused the internet. Lunch was egg sandwiches- a favourite.

S was off to shinny after 12:30 with the days counting down til the season ends. He took jars and seeds along to exchange for a stack of egg cartons for Matt. I worked on getting the blog posts caught up. A Hometalk post was created for the antique green table after I finished the actual tutorial for my blog. Of course it was then put on sites and shared with the paint company etc.

Finally the wind let up a bit so I took the dogs out for their walk. I started with a toque and jacket but by the time I was back I lost both. The west well was checked as I was testing the far paddock water line. It passed but required me to get a wrench to unhook the hose. I moved on to scooping poop and deadheading more beds. I was taking down the ornamental grasses when a bunch caught my pinky nail and bent it backwards, OUCH! S was just getting home. I stopped for the day after bandaging it up and we met on the deck in the sunshine for a cold beverage. Kaylin text and sent pictures- Renny got her ears pierced!

Shaina gave her work notice she is moving on!! Big changes for our Miss Shaina ahead.

We came in just in time as the weather started to change and the clouds rolled in. I started cooking an early supper. Of course plans morphed as I found we had no canned tomatoes. The sautéed zucchini and cabbage was delicious with the burger in tomato soup sauce. YUMMY! S washed up the pots and we headed out to soak in the hot tub. Again the weather got uglier with drops of rain as we got out to shower. That was it though, just a few drops in total.

Britt and Dave arrived around 8. She fed while Dave had a beer with S who was watching hockey of course. It was a short visit then they were off with Cooper. We moved to our bed where S multi tasked with hockey, his phone and new church book. I read my book after a few YouTube videos.
