PLUS 17

My watch says it was 0 upon waking but is to reach 18 today!! Fingers crossed but it is sure overcast to start. With my morning coffee I rearranged all my apps on my iPhone to make it neat, organized and tidy.

I got laundry on the go as S headed off to town taking H along for the ride. I vacuumed and got her kennel de-dirtified. The morning was spent editing and uploading the Easter photos. I also threw soup bones in the instant pot to make a pot from scratch no recipe. I pressure cooked an hour then added all my veggies I had prepped and cooked 20 more minutes.

Remember the sailing vacation link I shared awhile back? A hardcopy brochure arrived today via courier. That seems pricey way to send. Now to start dreaming in color.

Finally the post was ready to go live as S arrived back after 12:30. Egg noodles were added to the soup. We enjoyed our soup bowl/bowls after S brought in groceries and unpacked. Harley stayed in the truck.  The door was left opened and it seemed her fellow dog-a-heart J joined her and Stella was not far away.

I headed to garage to finish sanding the table and S went to work on the bases. Power and hand sanding complete I moved on to the next step- painting. I decided to stick with the white wash look but more solid as the top is thin veneer over MDF so the edges will need to be solid.

S found his on sale nails were crap so had to run back to town to get new ones. I painted the table apron and was working on the legs when he returned. He brought an iced coffee and Boston cream donut for my 4 pm treat. He took his favourite fritter and iced coffee off to the shop. When I was finished the legs I took H for a walk seeing it was plus 17 now. Crazy though as without sunshine it did not feel that warm. I was drinking an iced coffee though too :) I swung by the shop to snap a picture of his progress then off we went. Harley chased 3 gophers which we let him know about when back. Then it was time to paint the table top.

After it was complete and all the brushes were washed up. I took Har out and gave her a good deep shedding brush. Then inside to catch up today's blog post. S loaded up one finished base and ran it to Matt's on the ranger for approval after 7 as Britt and Cooper arrived. They fed and were heading home as he was back.

We now prepped a tasty steak supper on the BBQ with Flames game in the background. During the intermission we went for a hot tub. The wind had picked up more but was ok to tub. As we relaxed in bed after our showers it picked up more and blew all night. I caught up on more McCleods Daughters.
