Amanda's table gets its turn

Another day at the ranch with the usual start of dog fed and a cap made to do some marketing. After a long decision I decided to pass on the super heavy dining table. It will just be too hard to maneuver all the pieces in and out and stain in a dust/dirt/hair laddened garage. I rearranged allot of furniture, swept then had Shaina pop out to help me bring the marble top in and on the washstand and lift up Amanda's jumbo heavy coffee table to work on on the taller work table seeing the regular had the table on it.

The table was taken apart, sanded and cleaned then a coat of black paint brushed on.

I finished up and went in for a early supper of leftovers at 4. Shaina was up not long after finishing them up. She then did stuff before heading to town to the gym around 6. I prepped water kefir and ginger bug beverages. I adapted the recipe now that I am more familiar and skipped the boiling process, will see results. After making the 2 types of lemonade I went out and hand watered the garden and front bed/planters fighting the wind of course. Then to the garage to put a second coat of black on the coffee table.

B was out late today after 7 and found Pepper in the pit. This rascal either opened the gate chain or it came lose (B says she hooked up) and then went under the rope that was the double security. She shooed him back to the house and he ducked under and back in the paddock.

I came out in the hurricane winds, looped the yard scooping poop after fertilizing all the rose bushes. All are coming along except the big south one in the island, fingers crossed. I may just cut it all down and allow to root. B was finished feeding them and took Roo in to tack to ride ride. I brushed hot sauce on all the ornamental grass patches as Harley eats them daily and hope this will stop her. The cats were given offal with their food and forgot to mention the other day S opened the barn door to find feathers, seems they are pretty cagey.

These are my cut lilacs the next day, still look like crap so I posted tips and got these; cut at full bloom, mash the ends and split them up the stem and use hot tap water in the vase. Will try again.

Shaina was home after 8 and offered to catch KD to finish her back feet. We did her outside in the golden hour even with the breeze. B rode in the paddock next to us. We all finished up after 9 again, B & C off for home, S to cook ichiban and I turned the water on the forest on my way in. I had S help me carry in the coffee table base so not to ding it on my own. I brought in the top and we set it together and found I missed the top corner edges, oops! Tomorrow.

I spent the rest of the evening sorting photos and adding to tutorials while Manifest played by my side. I closed up computer work after 11:30 and headed to be to watch some more. B had text there was a coyote in the winter pasture, I am sure there are more then 1 but thanks for the update B.
