I was up making coffee as Mom had a bath. We visited over coffee and porridge then she was off to Dad's after 9. S was relaxing in bed after his sleep in Sunday. H was happy to hang out outside longer as it is warmer out today at -4. Marketing was in order to start my day.
Time to sort out our travel credit on Expedia from our covid canceled Victoria trip last year. Note to self; only book trips you know you can take. Credits do not work well. I can find the flights and book new return for us both totaling what they want to credit for 1 of us and requiring as much to rebook the other person!
S took H for a walk before lunch as I continued my Expedia online "chat". B and Coop arrived just before lunch as I was now on the phone with Expedia. This 30 minute call ended with me needing to call West Jet directly. A visit with B before she went to feed Bird and I to make the call. West Jet of course said no to banking the travel credit so back to Expedia. This has been over 2 hours of my life ;(.
S went out to check B's brakes that turned out fine in his opinion. Even with a test drive he heard no squeak. He was then in to relax on the couch. B was back in after trimming Bird and Biebs feet then headed to town after 2 for groceries. I finally got done travel stuff at 3 and we headed out to unload the cargo trailer. B was back to pick up Coop and drop off a chai tea for us I ordered. Thanks for picking them up B! Then we loaded the dresser and nightstand into the cargo trailer.
S took his tea and sat on the deck. Plus 3 full sun was wonderful. At 4 we headed out for a hot tub. I wore a sun hat, sun glasses and sunscreen on my face too. S even stated it is smoking hot out. Words I did not think I would hear on March 19 with feet of snow just outside the tub.
Shower and I was back to my trip planning. First I stripped the bed and started laundry. I had to run the Dyson around too as hair was everywhere. Alternate travel dates and plans (finding spa deals) were checked out before the Expedia rep called back before 6. I was on hold yet again but eventually got our flight booked to Victoria using our credits and $41.20 extra charged. We leave May 7!
S threw spaghetti in a pot then hosed a couple tub jets that were a bit scummy. We had a tasty spaghetti supper. I did some work on the entry list for my paint class giveaway. Sadly it is a very small turnout of people wanting to win a free paint class ;(
S went to put cats away after 7 mid baseball. I looked out to see him looking in the trailer. Seems he cant find Stella so I bundled up and went out to search. We looked in all areas that could have closed on her, nothing. S came in to check garage again and I walked the laneway. I went and got J, opened the barn door for her and put him in the garage. I hope she makes her way back to the barn tonight.
S checked again before 9 and still no sign of her ;( Before we headed to bed, the bed had to be made. I was in bed reading, S sleeping when Mom arrived back before 10. She had met Kaylin and Nathan this afternoon at IKEA and out for supper.
