Dresser completed in gold

The -12 fog was slight upon waking with the full hoar frost look but overcast. We did our usual coffee, crosswords and news to start after feeding H. I think headed to the garage to put the hardware on the dresser and hand paint the gold on the body areas. S finished reading the Babylon book and had a phone appointment.

I ordered the combo Festool sander and dust extractor after chatting to a salesman. It seems like the sanding dust is what fills our house so this system will for sure help even if it is $$

The sun popped out at noon as I made us salmon sandwiches. Sheldon ran to town after 12:30 to help Darren with his truck parts. I headed to the garage and pulled out the matching nightstand for the dresser. It needed vacuuming, cleaning and sanding before I could even start. The legs and hardware was removed prior to sanding too then a coat of boss in white went on over the black.

While this dried I came in to update my spreadsheet quick. S was back at 2 then flipped his ram on the skid steer and test drove it. H and I went out to feed Bird and give the others apples (still from our tree) then she and I walked to the gate and back. Once back , I put Bird back in paddock and came inside putting a second coat of boss on the nightstand.

I came in for a cold drink and opened the supplement parcel that S picked up at mail box. He was right in behind me for a cold beer too. He made himself some fancy hors d'oeuvres then helped me carry the massive heavy dresser in after we moved the art deco cabinet into the spare room. Now I can see areas needing sanding and touching up which was my next project as S relaxed watching the news.

I chopped and seasoned up veggies to air fry and S did the steak for yet another yummy supper. Hockey then called S to the TV room. I hauled up the kids table and chair that was being picked up tonight then finished my navy pot tutorial. As I looked at the table top minutes before they arrived I noticed the swirls still made me crazy so lightly sanded, wiped off wax with solvent and applied another clear coat. I then used a hair dryer to dry it with them arrived shortly after finished at 8 pm. Why do I do this to myself, there was a few days in between her buying and picking up!!

We headed out for a hot tub. The night was completely opposite of last night; no wind, clear skies and so much nicer to be out there. After a shower S was off to TV room while I changed the sheets on our bed. I delivered a yogurt bowl to the prince in his game room then got into the fresh linens and started a new Bling Empire series with my bowl.
