Machine prep continues

After a few wakes we managed to sleep in till after 9, H must have thought we left. I fed her and turned coffee on then went out to take off horse bug sheets. While waiting for a lady to arrive at 10 to pick up yet another stack of boxes and packing paper I updated the brewery supper blog day with loads more photos from Deb. Check out each day as I will be adding more as I get them.

After she was off I got busy pulling dandelions as the temperature was cooler at 19 with a breeze. The horses were happy to get them. S was out in the shop tidying his work bench. I helped him swap out to the original bolt he found then he helped me weed the island taking on the Canadian thistles.

We came in for lunch and rest in big brown for him. I continued with the blog uploading more of Deb's pics and adding to posts including the first day of off roading. I also decided to start posting the last few days like hay day even though will be out of order but know I have all pics for them.

S headed out before 2 to rip around on the ranger with his gun happy it is back up and running. He was back in short order to work on the baler. I continued my weed pulling and chopping; its a full time job. The horses are happy though with all the fresh greens. Hay was sprinkled around the pen for the 2 in the diet pen and I walked KD around the paddock for foot movement. Now to scrub up 2 projects; the custom stool she wants painted like pencils and paper and an accent chair.

she wants the above stool to look like the inspiration one below

Seeing the floor was gross I scrubbed it up a bit too after putting chairs in sun to dry. S came in changed clothes and we ran to town to keep Dad company during his supper then out for a walk. We got the TV set to Calgary news watching a bit with him before heading off to pick up tractor oil and anther baler belt. On our way home we grabbed 2 iced coffees to support Tim Horton camp day.

At home S barbecued pork kabobs paired with leftover spaghetti for a late supper. We were finishing up when B arrived to do her usual ride Roo, fed horses and put on blankets. When she arrived she noticed Gulliver had a tattoo in his ear so we wrote it down and found he is from a town vet and may be a year old. S headed out to put the new baler belt on and I watered my garden and flower beds and sprinkled on fertilizer. Between plants I took KD more dandelions and put hers and Switch's blanket on to help B out. B and Cooper were off for home after 9:30 as I was back working on the blogs. As S lay in bed watching sports I noticed his hamstring injury had gotten darker and spread around the side.

  1. How is his hamstring healing? That must have been quite painful. The pink peonies are beautiful!
