Robins got busy at 5:15 ramming the clean windows and annoying the sleeping folks. Again ear plugs and pillows did not work. S let out the cat too then slept on couch but they still carried on. It is just sooooo annoying beyond belief actually. I just got up after 7 and answered some potential tack sales on my phone. Harley and I then went out to grab the one saddle pad to measure for shipping costs. The robin was attacking the barn windows!!
I got a box for it and a quote and the lady sent an e transfer. I printed it the label all ready for Britt to tidy it up an bit and mail off. I made a golden milk for the prince and I, his first ever. I got laundry on the go and a roast in the slow cooker for a family dinner tonight. After a glass of water kefir, S and I went and sorted the recyclables then bathed Harley seeing this will be her first meeting with Grama and Papa and should look fresh. Shaina was up and working on her laptop with a cappuccino. S took the bottles to the shed seeing the ranger was over still. He also wiped the deck speakers he tried to pressure wash but they ended up just dirtier LOL
I fed Lexi just as Kaylin was coming up the stairs after 11. I put the coffee on for her and her dad but after a cup she moved to stronger iced coffee. Laundry was folded then S ran to town at noon quick with the recyclables.
Britt and Cooper arrived and got busy hauling posts to the paddock to use for training. She had a pretty busy day with her horses starting with riding Bird.
Grama and Papa arrived followed closely behind by Sheldon and an afternoon of visiting in the glorious wonderful 24 degree sunshine. There was a few bouts of wind that had us in and out but it was always sunny. Beverages on the deck and inside along with snacks made for a great day. The tack buying girl stopped at 3 to grab her wares as all were outside on a yard tour. We even caught the Preakness race with Grama picking the winner! Supper was served around 5:30.
After one last visit on the deck in the sun Grama and Papa loaded up and headed east before 7:30. Thanks for making the journey west, we were so glad to see you after such a long hiatus XOXO
Kaylin and Shaina followed heading to town to look for lysol wipes for the shop and B and Cooper just ahead of them heading home.
The evening was sooooo nice out, no wind and such a beautiful temperature. S moved while I scooped poop. I then setup some window coverings to see if works to detour the robins.
The girls were back around 9, made popcorn and off to watch a movie. S and I watched Money Explained episode 1 after I finished the final episode of The Circle.
