Happy Canada Day!! It was the usual start to the day with the addition I made the bread loaf and popped in the lined bowl to rise. S kindly screwed my chicken wire frames up on the raised beds that had toppled over with my peas attached after the Lola walk.
look at my flower patch!!
GG Kuhn’s cabbage casserole was finished for lunch it was time to complete a couple projects in the yard. I dug some chives for Sharon, Britt and Tash. S filled me a bucket of top soil so I could hill the potatoes then he started mowing the lawn. My next big project was to edge and remove sod around the 2 peonies by the garden shed.
Britt and Cooper arrived, she caught Pepper and KD and along with Cooper headed off for a ride. She then trimmed KD. A few more areas were dug up and made pretty before S finished mowing and we hit the deck for a cold beer.
the gingers coming in hot, see even Cooper coming thru the paddock as well as the darks.
Sharon and Darren stopped by around 4 to get the chives and stayed for beers on the deck. Britt rode Bird, she took Switch for a trot to the gate and back then was off on her own. She fed her and joined us for a bit. Stout’s were off before 6. B had fought her push lawn mower which S sharpened the blades for her and she was off. I got busy cooking the bread which may have rose too much but it was yummy says S.
Supper was left over chicken. S headed out to mow the lane and gate area as I caught up on some marketing then walked Lola. We then kicked back to watch Eurovision for the Canada Day entertainment.
