After my coffee I got cleaning and organizing for today's party. The planked table had to be taken back downstairs, at least it is paid for. S worked on getting the audio system working. I had a fellow message last night about my refinished dresser and ended up serious. He and his wife arrived after 11 and loved it. We got it all loaded up and had them on their way in short order. Another thing to celebrate.
S started watering trees, B worked with Roo and I kept on with party prep.
The first carload of guests arrived after 2; Grama, Papa and auntie Candace. The next carload was right behind them with Kaylin, Shaina and Kyle. Let's get the party started.
The afternoon was fantastic weather to be enjoyed on the deck. Shaina and Britt practised polocrosse with the help of Roo running interference for most of it.
The barbecue followed once Dave arrived at 6:30 after his day of racing. And it was good, loads of food to be had with cheesecake to top it all off! Thanks for Kaylin for her delicious guacamole, Shaina her yummy banana bread, Britt her tasty first time made Japanese salad and Grama for her croissant fruit pizza and must have potato salad.
Kaylin, Shaina, Kyle and Lexi were off for home after 9, Britt, Dave and Cooper 10 leaving as S started a roaring fire. Unfortunately the wind picked up and the temp dropped so we did not stay out there long. S did get his fire fix in though ;) Inside some caught the news while I helped set up Papa's new tablet before we all headed to bed around midnight.
