H went out early before 2 am and then to the garage so I was able to sleep a bit later. I am still slowly moving her breakfast till after 9, The book prefers once a day feeding (see below) but she would be so disappointed lol. I made coffee and got marketing underway. Shaina was off to town to train and work out at 10.
I ran to town after 12 with a few errands and an onsite consult at 1. I dropped the stinky trash off, restoked on coffee creamer, purchased horse feed, dropped off thrift store and take it or leave it bags all before my 1 pm consult. It turns out I know the fellow who is redoing a house in Grande Point; our of neighborhood. The project is unique so now to see what I can quote.
I was then off to get Cooper, a few groceries then grabbed an ice cap before returning to the ranch. It is a glorious PLUS 13. A long stretch from the cool -8 upon waking. I unloaded items, took Shaina her ice cap then was about to eat my Opa lunch Shaina brought me when I saw all the horses had left but Bird. I grabbed a towel in garage and lead her to join Switch and Biebs for the afternoon.
I did some computer work and accounting but it was just to nice out so I went outside. First order of business is move the 3 pasture horses back into the paddock to create less stress on Bird and now Switch who were pacing the fence line. I then went and opened the west paddock up for the 3 darks and closed the winter pasture gate on the other 3 then looped to the house opening the yard gate. In the yard I trimmed some trees that had obvious crossing branches now they are bare and played ball with Harley while Cooper and the cats watched.
Inside as I prepped supper the news said Strathmore was the current hotspot in Alberta at 13.9! Shaina and I went ahead and ate as B was working late. She and Dave arrived around 7:30, ate, did horses chores and put cats away and headed for home taking Cooper before 9. I jumped into the shower then bed to finish the Canadian Baker season 4 and read more of the Forever dog book. On their website they offer lots of free resources like actual raw food recipes and more.
