Weiner Roast

Today is our first campfire of the year planned day. I was up with H at 7 for her bathroom break but kenneled her for half hour before breakfast. I then made coffee and served the prince in bed as I worked on some marketing. Vacuuming and tidying the main floor and watering all the plants were in order as S took taxes out to mez and let cats out. I boxed up the mug tree and printed up the label to send to town with Sheldon who was running the recyclables in.

B and Cooper were out around 10:30 as S was getting a few things done before heading to town. She fed horses while I got busy on my dresser. Black milk paint was mixed up, the dresser edge sanded and more reapplied. The entire dresser was painted black. The dresser drawers were painted a soft green. I was just putting brush in to soak as S drove back in the yard at 12:30.

I loaded up the trays of snacks and hot dogs and we bundled up and headed out. S got the fire going, chairs were set up and poop cleaned up. I gave the dogs a meat search which they always love to do. The 3 of us cooked up a hot dog after an hour with the Paetz crew arriving before 2. The afternoon was full of fun, snacks and great family time. And the weather was just above zero with a darn wind but loads of sunshine.

angel action

B and Cooper who had been napping inside for awhile headed home before 6. The Paetz's help tidy up and were off for home by 6:30. S put the kitties away. Time for a shower, S and I ate the last of the roasted veggies and tenderloin. He was off to watch the hockey game and I wrote todays blog while watching Sneaky Pete. Harley hit her kennel as soon as we came in and was out for hte night, lots of playing fun today for her.
