Break in the cold snap to -22

Break in the cold snap awaking to -22 today :) Crazy to think that is warm but with the sunshine it seems much warmer. I worked on sharing this weeks tutorials on many websites. It is a constant marketing hustle. Once up and her breakfast and caps ate S kindly plucked my eye brows and applied the dye I had mixed up then was off for an 11 am call.

just chilling with the kitties again

I threw a butternut squash in to roast for lunch soup. Britt and Cooper arrived after 11 and boy were the dogs happy to get out and run and play. Lexi even was game to head out for a bit to find another pooping spot over by the shop. I headed out to clean it up and her earlier one so our hoover did not get it. I scooped some others while out there. Britt was feeding Bird, put out seeds for the others and checked blankets.

Looked out to see a coyote very interested in the the horses. B stormed out to scare him away.

The soup was finished up for lunch; I added some leftover bacon as my secret ingredient today. Shaina was off for another call and Britt to town to get horse feed and groceries leaving Coop here. I totally forgot to send the garburator with her to leave at the gate as I gave it away. I took it down for the fellow to pick up. Then it was a task to vacuum hair Britt scratched out of Harley and clean a dried pee stain that a small dog rhyming with Mexi may have done.

Juggling dog jackets with them in and out takes up allot of the day. Letting them in via the garage door has me picking up little pyramids the cats bat all over and clean their kitty little at least twice  a day. Cold weather makes for increase in pet care exponentially!

jolly ball fun

B was back at 2:30 with her feeds and unloaded into barn, picked ice balls out of feet and gave them another tidbit of food. Back inside she taught Harley to crawl for a little ways. I had hauled the vacuum out twice to vacuum up hair she scratched off H then got the spin mop out to whip around. B was off for home before 5.

watch these two videos of the crawl lessons

Shaina is making supper tonight which is real treat. She made chicken in mushroom sauce with asparagus and leftover rice. And it was delicious, THANKS Shaina Lee. She washed up pots and pans and back to work. I wrote the blog for today while watching The Wilds. The temp has dropped to -27 and heading down again. This extreme cold warning has gone on for days.
