After letting H out at midnight as I was finishing up The pack and then again at 3 am there was something she was barking at at 7. S let her out only to be back in fairly soon. He made coffee and gave her breakfast and we enjoyed a cup while relaxing in bed. Once onto our day S went and let kitties out taking the box of deck decorations with him. I got the chair posted for sale on a few sites and the blog updated.

Today is sausage making day. B was out before 1 followed closely behind by Grady. Kaylin came to join in the work party as well. We started with Grady's grinding then mixing, taste testing, stuffing, rolling and wrapping.

There were a few breaks during this then it was all started again with our batch but no grinding was required as S did that all yesterday. Shaina headed to Banff before 6 taking rolls to a few of her friends. We finished up around 7:30 making about 175 pounds. I rotated the jerky hourly and seeing they were cut thinner had them finished in just over 5 hours this time. They were a hit with the fellows.
Kaylin packed up her favorite sausage and Lexi and headed back to the city. The rest of us visited with Britt headed home around 9, Grady around 9:30 with Britt popping back out to pick up a bag she left just after he loaded up his boxes of sausage and pulled out. S and I watched an episode of Yellowstone before shutting out the lights.
