Election Day

Today is Alberta official vote day. After our coffee I put a coat of stain oil on the dresser top. We were off to town to vote at 10:30 ish hoping to beat the rush. It seems we both should have advance voted as they did not have us listed nor did we get voter cards. We had to fill out paperwork and swear in taking much longer then usual easy peas voter card vote. S even called in twice to see where our cards may be and voice his displeasure of the system as they assured us we were registered. I had called in when the writ was dropped even to be sure.

I love Amazon, here are my supplies delivered right to my mail box

We stopped to activate UFA cards, grabbed an ice coffee and the mail and headed home by noon. I made fresh guacamole and chips for lunch then I was back to the garage to work on the tall dresser. I hauled the drawers out to power sand out side and the top as well and hand sand.

S ventured out of his normal lazy Tuesday and took down the Christmas lights, harrow the ditches with the ranger then jumped in the skid steer to push the last of the hay. This ended up taking his whole afternoon and what a good job he did.

I went out in the now sunshine 13 and scooped some horse poop near the house and some dog when the courier delivered our Hello Fresh around 3:30. Britt and cooper arrived not long after close to 4. She and I went out and caught Bird and Switch. After a good grooming we worked them in the round pen then circled the fence line for a good walk/trot finish.

They were given there snacks then Britt caught Roo. She worked her in the round pen which went well.  I caught Pepper and B brushed & stretched him, gave supplements then he and Roo went to mow grass in the round pen while I made supper and B tidied up.

S cooked up the steak/veggies I had ready and along with the salad we enjoyed supper together. B loaded up Cooper and headed home before 8 and we hit a soak in the hot tub and watched the election results. Looks like conservatives are back in power in a landslide. :) Here is to some great changes I hope to bring Alverta back to its glory.
