I did need to get that parcel to the post office so I did run to town around 3. I always like to make it worth while so stopped to buy myself some tulips but ended up with a white African violet! Next stop was Rona to look for boards to plank my wall and see about a ruler board that was being quoted. Stopping at both banks to make deposits was followed by getting my FREE birthday Booster Juice.
Then it was back to the ranch. The wind was still a bit blustery but the sun was out all day. I unloaded then got busy on the dresser. I tried sanding with 80 grit and hardly any movement. This melamine type paint was stuck good but crackled in areas so will look crappy. Time to get out the stripper. The top was awesome and worked like a charm. I decided to try a side with it and this is where the plan went sideways. It did NOT work the same and after 2 more hours of scrapping I came in with a super sore arm, elbow and cramped hand ;( Thanks goodness for cold frosty beer to help ease the pain.
It was cool when I went out to strip the dresser but by the end it was 17 and no wind and so lovely. I wrote up a sale post for the stained dresser and loaded it up on Kijiji and Varage Sale and in 11 minutes I had an email about it but it turned out it was one of the spam trolls. The ruler lady declined the hand painted total but that is OK as they are so much more work then they are worth doing. I did head out and start to sand the dresser but after a bit decided to finish tomorrow.
Time to eat a late salad for supper while soaking in the tub. perfect! Happiest of birthdays Brittany. I love your new mixer Dave gave you, can't wait for some goodies to try/ XOXO
And happy first birthday to little miss Aislyn XOXO Where is the time going?
