I put the water on a couple places throughout the day. The bread box I recently got was hauled outside and sanded well then wiped. I had planned to finish it in spray paint but not sure the order will get here soon so may paint.
I also took a door apart and scrubbed to turn into a tray
I hauled in the end table. I am not sure to go copper or ORB on the hardware so put up a poll on Instagram, what do you think?
After a late lunch I went and tossed hay for the horses and let the 2 girls out in the temp pen. While I was out I finished trimming the poplar big branches with a saw.
Britt was home from work early before 5, she got all gussied up and was off to town before 6 to meet up with the birthday party train for Cassie. Have fun girls!
I was out feeding the 2 ponies their food/herbs so decided to try on the new fly sheet I got for Switch. After getting it all settled on I think it is just a smidge too tight so took it off. Washed her usual and put it back on all fresh and clean.
Another project I started was the little table; I stripped the top and when dry I hauled it outside to sand. The day hit 27 and it was still 26 at 7:30 when I was out sanding. WHEW good thing it was a small top. I was happy to get back in the A/C.
I ventured out again to close the gate on the mares pen and of course in my squirrel attention span pulled dandelions for them, then started the garden soaker hose and decided to move some flowers to the front beds seeing the evening was so gorgeous. These mini iris have such tough roots I tried the spade and edger and finally had to get a kitchen knife but eventually cut off 3 sections and planted them where 2 spirea and 1 peony did not overwinter. The peony roots seemed alive so I replanted them by the garden shed just to see. The dang mosquitoes finally drove me inside.
Back inside I watched Call the Midwife while I waited for Debby to arrive. She made it around 11 so we enjoyed a night cap and quick catch up before heading to bed. Britt was not home till 1:30. Week of late nights for this working gal.
