my lilacs are finally blooming, if you could only smell
It was time to get back to creating. I hauled a little end table/magazine rack Mom brought from her neighbor and sanded the top. It was then wiped down well before I applied my new paint sample. I was worried it would not cover the whole thing but applied the first coat more like a stain.
I came in for a yummy avocado bacon tomato sandwich for lunch.
I called B but she was outside riding and practicing polox. I headed out and caught Switch to do our practice. B came in to get ready to head to town for a chiro appointment.
she even took Switch for a cruise
I took Switch out in the pasture for a cool down passing a spray crew at the wells. Once hosed I put her in the round pen and fed her her food and tossed hay to the rest. The truck was hooked up to the trailer for tomorrow mornings lesson.
I trimmed the thinner dead branches off the new poplar tree that was attacked by bugs last year. How sad these poor trees either get hail, bugs or drought.
Time for a cold beverage then back to painting the 2nd coat on the table. Britt was back home as I finished up.. with another window tint ticket.. opps. She curled up for a nap on the couch. I headed back to the garage to distress, clear and dark wax the table.
Britt's friend Dave arrived at 6. He races Standardbred's at the track and was keen to meet Roo and Bird as Britt probably talks non stop about them ;) I set up a temp pen to have horses graze by the shop but will let them out later tonight.
After a quick visit, they were off for supper in town. I watered a few more trees and flower beds and worked on the Instagram loop. I was deadheading plants and watering pots when they got back at 10. I had let the 2 mares out to eat for half hour in the new temp paddock and also was waiting to get Lola in. Once I had all animals put away I came in to catch another Handmaid's Tale. B and Dave watched a movie till 1 but I still heard her putzing around down in her room after he left.
