28 years

Today is our 28th anniversary and Travis's 35th birthday, time flies when you reflect on these big days. It was overcast and threatening and worried the rain would unleash mid polocrosse jackpot, B decided against going. She did get home after 8 but went to bed having a new plan. Sheldon had planned to drive out and check the bison and give Mom/Dad/TJ a hand "branding" but seeing I was not hauling B to the jackpot I showered up quick and grabbed drinks and snacks while he hayed the horses and we were off to the homeland at 11.

A quick stop thru town where it was raining to get fuel and we were off. We stopped at the bison first.

The herd sorting was in full swing when we arrived at the farm at 2:30. The next few hours were filled with lots of mooing and moving. The process ran very smooth and even though the skies began to threaten, there was no rain. B said it was pouring at home now getting 2/10ths more rain ;)

apparently he is channeling his inner ninja turtle as the security guard

Travis has pretty quiet calves, the girls enjoyed petting them, Arch not so much :)

he preferred to be up higher with me watching the cows and the chute action

A yummy supper was enjoyed by all and some visiting before prince and I were back in the truck heading home at 9. Britt and Dave were coming up with a tack trunk plan when we got home at 11:30. He was off by midnight and we all were off to get some sleep. Not a bad way to celebrate 28!
