Happy Thanksgiving

Happy thanks giving folks, we were up early (actually I am not sure I slept) by 4:30 and out the door 15 minutes later. Security and check in went fast and the flight to Montreal now as event less, I watched Passengers and Sing while Sheldon fit in Wonder Woman in between naps ;) Landing in Montreal found us in loads of rain.

To get to Quebec City we went from a huge airbus holding 400 to a dash express that held less than 40 with a tarmac loading.. in the rain.  This flight was quick, only 35 minutes. We took our first Uber to the hotel in the rainy drizzle. Hotel 71 did not disappoint.

We were greeted with fancy yummy chocolates (for my big birthday of course) but Sheldon thought they were for him ;)

outside our window we had a river view, most days there was a cruise ship of course to watch

After checking in and and getting stuff to the room we grabbed an umbrella and headed out to check out the city.

We found a local restaurant, Cafe Buade and tried pouting for the first time, it was good. As was the local beer called belle gueule - meaning beautiful face .

Frontenac at night from lower town

We put on a few miles in the drizzle stopping aback at the hotel then setting off to a close pub for delicious appetizers and beverages before calling it a night around 11 (9 home time) Turns out the pub was in the Port Royal hotel I missed the great deal on.. next time ;)

this is art work on display at our hotel, check out what they are made from
