Bike ride expedition

Another beauty day in Quebec City, we started with breakfast finally scoring the croissants. We were there before 9 just in time as it really filled up around 9.

just my style decor!

We booked the bikes for 10 and after packing some snacks in S's backpack we set out.

Our concierge said it was easy 1 hour ride with only one possible wrong turn. Well it was not long before we found the city is laced with bike trails throughout this pretty city.

I took this while biking too , there was actually quite a few dogs in baskets lol

After a loop around a stretch now the river tribute we asked a local only to find we needed to go a ways back to head to the falls.

Maps was used often to finally get us to the falls over 3 hours later.

our destination way in the distance and this was half way

Sore butts all around, the incline down towards old lower Quebec was a relief but still took 45 minutes on a bike seat to get safely back to the hotel. We had a brief rest on the comfy bed before venturing back out hiking to upper town.

The long bike ride had us thirsty so we tried yet another pub ( Pub D'Orsay ) before arriving early at Chez Boulay for our supper reservation. This place was a delicious as I anticipated. They were the first Quebec restaurant , to use local Boreal spices and herbs to flavor their food.

We tasted cat tail hearts, pickled milk pods in arctic char for then appetizer, I had hanger beef and S duck breast for our entrees again flavoured with unique spicing and the dessert was so delicious, lemon pie. This is a must try place to eat for the real taste of Quebec with Boreal seasonings.. wow wow wow

this is the fab bath products in our room and yet another cruise ship out our window
