Our table gets an update

After our usual start to the day with coffee I worked on marketing hoping to have some things sold. There was interest in the stools but the person hoped to meet in Airdrie and the dining table gal wanted price lowered so looks like no sales today. I posted the fall clay painted vase tutorial and did all the sharing and sending.

S and I went out for a hot tub before 11 for a soak as the day was lovely but this soon changed. I charged our new cordless vacuum. We had a turkey bun for early lunch then I was off to town to help Dad with his lunch. S had the bale guy FINALLY coming to pick up bales today. Dad was at his lunch spot with a turkey plate but was not very hungry. He wanted to go to Calgary but I said the best I could do was a walk outside. The nurse said he was supposed to be at his hair appointment, so we hustled there to find that indeed he had it done today (which he told me he had too). Back to his room I helped him change into the wheelchair with footrests and took him out for a walk and sit but it was now clouded over and a bit breezy at times, so he wanted to go in. I thought about trimming his nails but without my glasses I opted not to try that so helped him get into bed for a nap before heading out at 1:30.

On my way home I swung thru DQ and bought S and I each a banana split blizzard. B was at the ranch when I arrived taking Beibs in to trim him and S had moved bales going to the bison from the road to the yard. I delivered his to him, finished mine then got busy in the garage. The tabletop was waxed, the apron and legs painted a coat of white and the growth roller boards worked on. The bale guy arrived to get first load. Between loads S worked on emptying the 2nd wood bag under the deck.

B did more horse work as I put the last of the summer yard decor away. After the last load of bales were loaded S had to get a bucket or two of dirt and grass seed to repair a few spots. On his way out of the pit he let the horses out as all the bales are now off the road and not in danger of being picked at.

It was now after 4 and the sun came out but a huge wind picked up so we had a cold drink then I got the new vacuum going. I was blown away to find so much sucked up in 30 seconds on the carpet by S in big brown relaxing. This may be a keeper for sure. I cooked up a mushroom zucchini goulash for supper that S enjoyed so much the whole pot was eaten up. He washed up the pots while I wrote todays blog then was back to his laptop perusing the local online auction.

After I was done working on tutorials we headed to bed to start season 6 of Animal Kingdom. I then watched some Bling Empire after we finished a couple episodes. The wind picked up even more and at 10:30 rain started but did not deliver much.
