another jewelry box painted and a rack

I was awake before S alarm went off at 7:30 for his golf game. It was drizzling rain off and on but he was sure it would let up and was off by 8:30. I perused Instagram with my coffee then got going on marketing and getting blogs posted.

Next step was to scrub up and repair some new projects. The jewelry box vote is for sacred sage so that will be the color. First it needed a corner built up and sanded when dry.

I went out into the cool damp morning to give Pepper and bird their supplements sanding and scrubbing another project up. This one I will spray paint with all those spindles.

Back in the house I put the first coat of sage on the jewelry box. After a light lunch I put on another coat then sanded and waxed when dry and staged it up.

Seeing I had a cute model I staged up the red chair too, she works cheap for treats ;)

I ventured back outside to spray paint the magazine rack in the barn, check the rain gauge which showed 2/10ths then picked more spinach. I was sanding the magazine rack outside when S got home around 4:30. He unloaded groceries then had a nap while I prepped supper.

Back to big brown after supper for the prince. I scrubbed up dishes then made a post for the green jewelry box on Etsy before I headed out to dark wax the magazine rack. It has been a productive project day. I am happy to get many smalls done up for the fall markets. S did don his rubber boots and took the skid steer down the road at my request to weed and cut a nice edge while moist but he was back soon saying still to damp.

grrr.. when you see you forgot to get the sticker goo off before painting and have to remove it and only have a skiff left in the paint can, but I did it!
