Before the sausage making commenced we spent time outside. We had the sidewalk guy stop out to get a quote to warp the last part around the house. One of the 2018 yard projects we want to do. I gave away K's baby dresser Amanda had been using to a lady who had her baby girl only an hour after A at the same hospital. They visited a bit before taking off. S ran the hay and yard waste I had collected to the pit while I did some more gardening and planting and watering of trees. B was off to work (called in) around 10:30 stopping to let Chanel out for Sharon.
Grady arrived after 11:30 and the 3 of us got busy with the sausage. Shaina had to work as well and K messaged she slept in but her and Lexi did arrive around 1:30. Grama, Papa and a bonus surprise passenger, Auntie Candace pulled in around 2:30. Thank goodness Papa went out on the deck to hear the one tank pumped dry on the trees, dang it, totally forgot that.
We had about 100 pounds of sausage mixed, cased, wrapped and written on by 5. Many hands make light work, thanks all.
Grady loaded up and was off home leaving us to visit. Britt made it home around the usual 7. Papa and the prince went to the TV room for more hockey while us ladies stayed up in the lovely sunset on another 23 day. I even fit a Call the Midwife episode in when we all headed to bed after 11 ;)
