hoof trim day

Awake when B was getting ready for work made for an early start to my day ;) I worked on marketing till a fellow painter stopped at 9 for a visit and pick up drawers I gave her to build with. We visited in the sunshine for about an hour but the wind was very blustery, maybe it will blow the mosquitos away!

Back to marketing and setting up my latest giveaway for $100 worth of stencils! As well as finishing and posting the TV tray blog post.

After I headed out to plant my planters up and water them and other hand watering. The wind was voracious today but there was not many bugs.

The stools had black wax added and brought in for a few pictures. Our internet was down for the afternoon for upgrades so I went out to scoop poop around the grass and in the small paddock by the house after I put Switch in there and KD in the round pen. A new hoof trimmer arrived at 3 and did Switch, Bird and Roo's feet. I dosed Switch with her meds before her release along with a saran wrapped/duct tape foot with white lightening; a medicine for feet. Shaina stopped for a visit and bite to eat just before 4:30. I put KD back in her paddock once trimmer was all paid up and came in to visit with Shaina before she had to head out after 5.

B text to ask if I would start the arena water on her way home and good thing I did. I found KD and Pepper had made their way into the shop into the barn and tossed around a bale, licked every bucket clean of feed and Pepper was in the feed stall helping himself to oats and treats. They got shooed out and the mess swept up.

When B got home she was off to the shop to trim Mr J's matted belly. He was quite happy to have them all shaved off but like Lola's bare bum he too has a wild hair cut. We think it makes him look bad ass for the feral cat who pesters them ;)

We had a quick bite to eat and were just heading out at 8 when prince rolled in with Timmy's thank you! He was off to watch the hockey game and eat and we were off to give all the horses their vaccines. B rode Bird with me being the passer of the ball and instructor for gait changes while she worked on her form. I headed back inside while she cooled her off, gave her vaccine and tidied up.
