parcels galore

Overcast day up early at 8. Great news, a customer inquiring about the round table yesterday replied they want it and will pick up later today!! Jac called to say she indeed is selling the filly and Britt has first chance as promised. I am 100% sure she will say yes.

First order of business, put another coat of dark stain/oil on the 2 drawer front. I hauled the dining table I was working on a while back to sand. It seems them velcro pad is almost bare so it was a task. The sun even popped out for a short bit as I mixed and filled even more gouges in the top and pulled it back in to dry yet again before another sanding.

Off to town to buy a new sander seeing replacement parts come to the same price as new. Isn't that crazy? And after checking Home Hardware, Canadian Tire & Rona I found the cheapest at Walmart. Of course while there I loaded up on dog food, groceries, a belated birthday present for Olivia and some gardening tools too.

A stop at the purolator depot scored me not only 1 but 2 parcels, yeah. I grabbed an ice cap and the mail and headed back to the ranch. The weather was getting unfavorable and seeing I had hauled out our sideboard to the deck I best get on with trying out my new sander. Of course winds and raindrops started forcing me inside once the top was sanded. Now to sand a few areas, scrub it down and let dry.

yep wind picking up ;)

when I removed the decorative back you can see the original finish hidden below the top edge

I made hamburger soup for supper, perfect for what they are calling to be a rainy w/e. The table gal and her father showed up at 5 to get it, yeah!

the impending rain makes the natives restless ;)

Britt was home a bit earlier today at 5:45 however she missed seeing my Fusion parcel at the gate so I drove to get it quick as the rain was starting to come down.

Soup was awesome, always a favorite. Britt was in her PJ's and off to watch Netflix in her bed. I put a coat of hemp oil on the sideboard.. with my hands.. in the living room. So awesome it is all natural and non smelly and staining. Blogging and Netflix were my Friday night festivities!

tulips are blooming and not from the 90 I planted in the fall but rather from the ones I transplanted from Grandma B's back yard ;)
