scraping, chipping, steaming, scrubbing

So after a night of little sleep I was served a hot coffee in bed, that might help get on with the day. Prince was off to town for his 10 am massage, run a few errands and then to a bank appointment. He did bring us home lunch, thanks!

I stayed at the ranch and tried to remove veneer! 2-24 hours was the quote but not for this baby, at 36 hours I tried my steamer and it helped a bit. The gal arrived to pick up the antique table set, whew one less task to do. The last drawer got its turn being repaired - I have only 1 set of good and 1 so so set of clamps so can only do a few at a time.

I have a lady supposedly coming to see the dining table tomorrow so put a coat of wax on it and the grey geometric table and power buffed them. I then chipped away at the dresser veneer some more using another batch of steam.

Britt rolled in around 3:30 for the weekend. Sheldon serenaded us with his snore fest on the couch. This week was hard on the guy; massage and a nap were his day off plan followed by the Flames game after supper. A perfect day I think in his mind ;)

Britt was off to meet Amber and Brooke for supper and a visit while I took some test shots on my new backdrops then headed out to plug away at chipping off the veneer. Britt was home at 9 and hung out with Diego as I chipped away. Just throw on a wet towel, so easy they said.. Note to self.. no more damaged veneer projects, NOT so easy! ;)

days end progress
