sanding and snow white

The prince was off north dark and early. Back to work for me too. Monica and I got a pile planned for the w/e sale then I was back to marketing. It is paying off as one of my good customers saw the grey end table on another site, not my Creative Moments page (if you do not like or comment now and then on any page you  follow it will drop off your FB feed) so that was lucky. She messaged at 11 last night she wanted it and was here on her lunch break to pick it up, thanks again Jessica!

I also was posting my paint giveaway on multiple places on FB and social media. I got an email I was featured on HomeTalk with this dresser post and it has over 7,000 hits now!

When I got to work in the garage it started out as a sanding process. The now free of veneer dresser top got a power sand as did the top of this lazy susan I had done in yellow and still sitting. I had an order for another growth ruler last night so decided I would do another for the booth and had one the I had sold from my paid stock so in the end have 3 on the go all sanded. Of course one needed an edge glued so it will be the grey one. The other two were whitewashed and left to dry as was the lazy susan.

Jessica has still more custom work in mind so after a short visit she was off and I was back at the rulers. It was my only time outside in the sunshine and 9 degrees, a big change from yesterday. I like it. One ruler got another white coat, both got aging details added and all marked to paint and the spare one was painted in brown numbers and markings.

I had found a cute saying so sketched it out on the lazy susan, painted it brown after black paint pen outlining and the aging started on it. BUT I should have left well enough alone but when I went to put dogs in for the night I added more dark wax without clear waxing and DUH, not the look I wanted. SO more milk paint made up, sand the areas and repaint. When I took off the clamps and plastic on the repair, I got a bit aggressive sanding with the hand planer so out came the power sander. Time to stop for the night, things are going down hill.

Back into the crappy internet service I worked on sorting pictures as it does not require internet. I wrote up today's blog too just in word. Sheldon says I just need to change my business hours from 11pm - 3 am and I can get all online stuff done then! The hometalk feature blog has hit over 9,000. Time for my usual 12-1 Netflix viewing.
