hooting a 3"I couldn't stay awake to finish the last ten pages of my book, "The Briar Club," so I completed with my coffee in bed. S went off to church after his breakfast. I worked on yesterday's race day blog, adding many photos and videos, and finally got it done. (If you read already go back and see 2 new videos Britt shared) While the videos were loading, I cleaned the bathrooms, tidied the great room, and set out snacks. It's a bright and sunny day, with the forecast predicting temperatures close to 30 degrees.
S returned from church with a few essentials and pizza before noon while I was watering the planters. B followed shortly and tended to the horses. The Calgary crew arrived not long after. Nathan put Renn down for a nap in the "new" crib, and then we all gathered on the deck to enjoy pizza and cold drinks. It was a beautiful day, warming up from 13 degrees at dawn to 21 now, and rising.
Renn napped for over an hour in the crib, which was equipped with room-darkening cardboard. Once she awoke, she was introduced to the baby horses. Britt, Renn, and I retreated indoors when the others commenced their shooting event, beginning with .22 caliber firearms before progressing to shotguns.
not sure about frozen berries
Once it cooled down, B was back out, she and I took our two horses for a quick ride around the perimeter while S prepared the horse trailer for departure. Following our ride, B trimmed Bieber's hooves in preparation for his first mountain ride tomorrow. Dave arrived at 8:30 and spent most of his time on the phone, checking in on his horses. I returned indoors with S coming in shortly after, Britt was off for town, and then Dave left for home. I began reading a new book from the library as S took a shower and dozed off browsing his phone.
