B buys a new car

November 1 already .. it was not windy! The snow is melting but just lowering levels not bare patches which is good. We like a nice clean cover. Coffee in bed for yet another relaxing start to the day. This retirement for S is going well.  “I am so glad I don’t have to get up and go to work” were said upon waking.

We were having lunch when B, Cooper and Gulliver arrived. She had some leftovers then went and fed Bird while it is plus 7 out. She asked us to come along to her 3 pm car test drive. We loaded up in the Jetta after1:30. B treated us to a tea for the drive. She also unsuccessfully attempted a pick up for a car part for a friend.

We were early for her appointment by 15 minutes. The test drive proved the Volkswagen Taos was indeed the car of her dreams. It was however not the color she wanted. They had 2 black, a red and a weird blue in stock. None appealed. So next up was finding the exact one she wanted. Including rims and interior. When salesman Mario came back from checking with manager he asked B to pick a hand. She chose right hand. In his hand was the exact car she wanted that was bought but the financing fell thru on the fellow. When she saw it she was unsure about the silver/black interior but in short order her opinion changed. THIS was her new dream car. Time to get the paperwork done then time with finance fellow. S and I had a tea while we waited. She was the proud owner of her new car at 5:45. She will pick it up next Wednesday.

To celebrate B took us to Red Lobster for supper. THANKS B!! Congrats on the new whip. We were all stuffed. Back at the ranch B and I fed dogs. S hustled in to watch ball game. B and her pets were off. I worked on loading photos for yesterdays blog and posted it. I wrote todays at the island watching the Texas Rangers win the World Series.
