S off to his last 2 week stint

The last 12 weeks of morning meds and a walk are going to take awhile to fade but certainly not as hard as all the reminders thru the day; a thumping of the tail on the deck, a peek thru the window and that lope towards you that always ended with a big leg hug. This sweet girl leaves us 6 years of great memories just like all the 4 legged members of our family who are gone but never forgotten. XOXO

S was awake at his usual 6:30 perusing the net but I drifted back and forth till 8 when I went out to take off masks for the girls to graze. Coffee was ready once I was back in. Going to have to make my own for the next few weeks as S is off for his last 2 week stint today. After some toast with his fav sour dough he ventured out to pick more fox tail. I stained the dining table top another coat adding grey this time and put a coat of sealer on the house sign that had been put aside for a few days.

B and Coop were out at noon. Her test results were back and negative. She rode Bird first, hosed and fed before moving on to Roo. Cooper searched all over for Lola. :( I tried to catch up the blog and answer messages while S did some parts orders and relaxed for his travel day. He was off after 2 to detour to the south of Calgary to get his COVID test at 3 then to the airport for his after 6 flight.

B and Coop came in for a bit to cool off , it was warm at 23 when she started riding but was now 26. She and I went out and rode in the heat of the day, this time she rode Pepper and ponied KD. The hose off was welcome today for them. B and C were off before 4:30.

Sharon stopped after 5:30 bringing a gorgeous white bouquet XOXO We had some tears and laughs talking about Lola which was most therapeutic. Thank you Sharon for being such a great friend! You are a treasure. We caught up on more family and life stuff before she was off at 8:30.

I took the cabbage laced muzzles out to the girls but Switch was not game to wear hers tonight and took a bit of exercise before it went on. The sky was another pretty sight. Back inside I started season 3 of Selling Sunset but did not make the whole first episode.
