hay day

Another hot one coming today, after coffee S went out to bale but seeing it was still a bit tough he moved the ones already baled off and along the road. I spent most of the morning cleaning.. yep it doesnt take long for the dog hair to pile up. I also need to stage the black chairs before they head off today. I also created a one of a kind garden art piece from a metal flower stake I bought at Costco.

After lunch S got baling 35 big round bales and I headed out to put 2 coats of semi gloss on the end tables and get started sanding the custom jewelry armoire.

Around 3:30 the chair customer's mom stopped to pick them up. How she loaded them has me concerned for their appearance when she gets them ;/ but it is out of my hands.

I watered all my beds, planters and garden and got the big sprinkler set up on the trees. 27 for the last 4 days has the grass burning. S had stopped to swap to the small baler and thought soaking me with the sprinkler was funny. I told him sleep with one eye open :)

He was off to make 220 small. I continued outside in the garden trimming leaves and trying to get the other pump working on the grass but no luck. Time to unhook the truck and trailer and shower as I have an appointment in town at 7:30. I had arranged a few more pickups including a free oak pedestal table and 2 chairs too. However plans changed and I was moved to next Tuesday but seeing I had the other arrangements I headed in at 7 meeting Britt at the gate on her way home.

I quickly did the 2 returns we tried on Tuesday, picked up the table set and jar rings, grabbed us Opa for supper and spent 6 minutes from truck to truck grabbing groceries at Walmart. fast heh? I was back just after 8, Dave was here visiting with Britt. Sheldon came in to eat as well then was off to shower while B & D took Cooper to the river. I had S help me haul in the gate leg table to the house and the pedestal table to the garage.
