cleaning and prepping day

An overcast cooler day seems in store but eventually it did hit 26 and with the recent rain it was humid. I spent allot of the day cleaning and prepping for our guests; fresh linens put on beds, bathrooms cleaned, house tidied and more.

I also hauled the dresser in after I figured out how to drill pilot holes measuring 100 times then securing the new handles on. I love power tools and learning new skills.

Of course to stage the dresser I had to move the sideboard and gateleg table, thank goodness for my new mover wheels. Of course the staging takes so much time to find pieces that work but I think in the end it looks ok.

I made a tuna casserole for supper using my fresh garlic scapes from the garden. This is another new thing, I hope they taste good.

Trying to clean the fusion paint off the stencil proved tough. I tried a few cleaners but only scratching off with the flat edge of the scrub brush worked.. and took forever!

I had my grey table featured on Hometalk so had to start putting 3 more posts up to get another. I started with the recent painted frames.

I made a tuna casserole for supper and it was piping hot when B got home from work. She went out after supper and rode KD this time and ponied Bird. I continued with cleaning and fresh linen and laundry. I finished the latest season on Netflix of The Fosters then headed out to put Lola in. I got her in, gave her a treat and turned on her fan and crawled back in to bed to catch the last episode of Handmaids Tale on Crave when I heard her patrol barking again.. what? Well it seems I had shut the main garage doors after cooling it off but forgot about the crack I had in front of the fireball on the north side :) SO out again to get her and close this door. Now to finish Handmaid's Tale.

so we are grown folks now, I put fancy 1800 thread count WHITE sheets on our bed and added proper size lamps ;)
