Up and at it at 7, it had snowed over night and was still snowing and cold. Coco stayed at the house as we, Sheldon Britt and I took Lola to her big dental day by 7:30. B even had walked both quick before we left.
To get her in the kennel at the surgery room, Britt crawled in first and she followed as Britt went out the other door. We left her in Steph (B's roommate) capable hands and hit Tim's to grab breakfast on the way back to the townhouse. We watched Finding Dory while we ate and relaxed.
Once it was over at 10, we headed out to hit the local thrift and antique store shopping. It was surprising yet again the price of unpainted old pieces. There were a few I would love to have snapped up and took home to paint but at 400-600 it would not be for profit.
$450 unpainted above and the exact same table I had busted at the booth for $50 below
there is a neat decor store where I saw this thinking Amanda could replicate and below is the oil painting Britt loved till she found out the price.. $1500. ;)
We stopped for an early lunch at one of Britt's fav places called Tasty Thai. It was good and filling for sure. One more thrift store stop after lunch and a drive around town to see some of the old cool houses including B Vintage (I follow on Instagram) then back to townhouse again.
Britt has lambing wards today starting at 4 pm and go thru till 6 am so she and Coco hit her room for a nap. Sheldon serenaded me with his snores while I perused Instagram.
Lola was discharged at 4 and we were on the road home soon after. A quick stop in town to load up with refreshment restock. At the ranch we found a good 2 " of snow on the level. Once we got Lola settled on her pillow in the garage after she and Sheldon plugged in the skid steer, I started cooking a tummy warming roasted cauliflower soup for supper . It was yum, give it a make folks.
While Sheldon rolled a partial bale out I put a 2nd coat on the TV stand and one part of the salt shaker then we both got cozy in front of the file he made before supper and I caught up the blog.
here are 2 of the triplets Britt pulled the other lambing shift
and her bottle feeding duties
but how could you not love this chore.. all these sweet babies to keep you busy!
