932 - blue green paint & waterbased stain day

Day 932 was an early start, excited about today's projects. My hutch gal from yesterday messaged she indeed wants the black one know as husband likes it so they will come Saturday to pick it up.

Britt was running late for school but made it, whew! I brewed up some coffee as today is wax day so need the energy. The dresser started with a white wash which both the customer and I thought it better to not so off it was washed, it then received both coats of wax today. Again I thought the 2nd coat would be dark but did not like how it took down the blue green color she wanted so 2 clear were the choice. Another hardware spray was required too.
In between coats another project is always needed to I scrubbed up a cute little end table I bought in the city, repaired runners, washed and spray painted hardware, sanded it down and gave it one coat of blue green paint since it was such a fun color.
I also tried out my new water based stain on a sign and ruler. Seems to work OK.

Once the ruler dried I tried a new technique of white washing over the stain to give a real country feel.

Britt was forced out of the basement to take the dogs for a walk even though the sun was shining and it was plus 7.. TV has her like a magnet, right after she was done, back down for the night!

After a drink and quick supper it was back out to distress the end table more and give first coat of wax, spray hardware a couple times after trying the burnished look and not liking
I also distressed the dresser a bit more and re waxed the areas

then decided time to come in and post pictures which turned into a bit of a frenzy of inquiries and new likes. All in a days creating and marketing! 10:30, time for a soak in the tub!
