I received an early wake up text at 6 am from Sheldon but went back to sleep until 9:30!! Nice way to start the day. I fed pets and enjoyed a latte and chatted with Sheldon.

Britt came home just after 11, seems they did not end up in a tent but rather her and Amber shared a single bed in her friends parents trailer. She showered up and her and I headed to town around 12:30 with the truck & trailer to pick a solid table. The lady asked if I wanted 2 more solid wood coffee tables too, score! As we were heading to Wal-mart Britt spied a pile of furniture in a back alley so we wound our way in to check it out. I only took a mirror as the rest was extremely dated and the dresser was not in the best shape. We stopped at Walmart for groceries then filled with diesel before coming home!

Back at the ranch Britt cooked up a pizza for her dinner. I had a quick drink and snack and went out and mowed for a couple hours while it seems she slept! Back in the house at 4:30 I updated the blog and flogged her to get moving.
Sometimes free labor needs firing too.. my dandelion sprayer seemed to kill more of my hard to grow grass than weeds :-(

Once I got her up and motivated at 5 she caught Julio and Bird and I trimmed their feet. We took the kitties out for some sunshine too. They are so playful and busy but the fresh cut grass still is to tall tickling their bellies.

Shaina arrived home at 7:30 as I was getting out of the shower but she did not feel well (self induced) so went straight to bed. Britt and I ate salad then she braved the elements to check the horses who were covered in mosquitoes. I got out a sheet for Scooter and helped her put on. In the few minutes I was out I got about 10 bites. She added a fly mask to her and tried to put one on the others but they were too busy trying to trot them off.

and a few throwbacks to salute our Dads
My Dad started my horse love at a very early age.. here I am 5 weeks and below 4 years riding my pony Dusty in the Oyen Parade, Dale rides with Dad on Billy (one of my all time favorite horses!)
