777 - crab anniversary fest

Day 777 is Sheldon's last day off before he leaves for the great rainy north. Britt was off to school finishing up her last few days. Around 9:30, Sheldon and I loaded up 4 horses and took them over to Matt's. He has many pens with waist high grass which unfortunately is not good for horses to be put into for more than a few hours but was a nice offer.

The dirt guy was there waiting for a truck to arrive to load up the pile of rocks but I found more semi buried huge chunks of asphalt. Honestly there are not many honest workers these days.

I ran to town for colonic and errands before returning home for 12:30 to move horses back home. One of the errands was to pick up the horses blanket and 2 saddle pads I dropped off for a gal to use a gift certificate I bought at 4-H auction however there was mass confusion and I ended up paying $61 to wash the 3 items and repair the one tear.. when original quote was $25!! another thing to add to my people are not always on the same page day. Shaina had a pile of loose horses she was trying to catch but once she caught them we took 3 more over, brought  4 home and left 2 to graze our lawn pen.

Shaina got ready and headed to town for work 3-close. Sheldon worked on putting up all the railing ends on the pillars. he and I ran over to Matt's and brought the 3 horses home, walked all 5 back to their pen before filling their water tank. Sheldon moved the last bit of dirt around the shop before coming in. We enjoyed a cold beer when he realized he forgot the water and ran tank dry again!!

I worked on filling and sanding my custom order growth stick and of course the kitties were always entertaining.

Britt worked after school till 9:30 so with no kids home we decided to cook the box of crab in our freezer. Of course we could celebrate our anniversary again but also did not want it to freezer burn. I made potatoes/onions and carrots to go with it and all was so good!!

After our late feast Sheldon enjoyed the Stanley cup hockey game with 3 OT periods too while I hit the sheets tuckered out! Shaina was home at midnight I think and tried to get some sleep before driving her Dad to airport early in the morning.
