Fogged in day

We awoke to thick fog that stayed for the entire day. We had our coffees relaxing in bed then it was time to stage the desk/vanity while S continued his online perusing.

My work project today was to get back to the dining table working on a pedestal now the glue was dry. But of course there was more glue involved as I went along. B dropped Cooper off around 11:30, fed horses and headed back to pick up Dave and they were off to the “Riddell place” to paint their new digs.

After a bowl of borscht soup for me and ham bean for S he hit big brown and I wrote a Hometalk post for the art deco cabinet. I headed back out to sand more on the pedestal. At 2:30 I finally moved that one to another table to let all the glued pieces dry and start on the other one.

This part is a slow progress with so many nooks and crannies to get at. I finished up at 4 coming in to get the bison roast ready for the instant pot. S started a fire, sure been while. I found a good looking recipe and had s help me by chopping potatoes. Carrots and slicing onions while I learned how to sear the meat I rubbed in the pot. It was a learning curve but love that it all could be done in one pot. While the roast cooked for 45 minutes we played crib in front of the fire.

Then the roast depressurizes for 25 minutes; during this time we went out for a soak in the hot tub. Back just in time to pop the veggies in to cook for 4 minutes!! S had a shower and I mixed up the gravy thickener, added it and we enjoyed a delicious one pot bison roast!! Highly recommend this one.

S washed up the dishes while I got busy with accounting. The credit card bill took forever to sort out with Amazon orders :) B and D arrived around 8:30 with DQ supper. They ate and chatted a bit about the day then headed for home just after 9.After I finished balancing the credit card bill I crawled into bed to read and S peruse the net. I quite reading the Remember Book as kinda deep, I was hoping for tips and things to help memory not a theory paper :) I started The Four Winds, almost quit with the hokey start but kept going. I give myself permission
