After a pretty good sleep I woke after 6, usual morning but after putting H in garage I eventually got a coffee served in bed after a very long hiatus after 8:30. I went to feed her quick and back to enjoy it before getting on with the day. It seems I had lots to catch up on; bill paying, parcel wrapping, blog catch up with soooo many photos and videos, shaping the sourdough loaf to 2nd proof etc. S took H and the kitties out for a bit of play time after his multiple coffees and cereal. Mom had me do a favor to call Dad saying she was running late having a truck error alert which Dale checked and all was ok to make the road trip.
S headed out around 10:30 to start replacing rails while I went to garage to start the dark brown coats on all 3 table tops as well as the desk top.
Loading up the parcels and H we ran to town to mail them off, pick up the lawnmower that has spent all summer at repair shop, stop and get a wee bit of AJ's pink and dark pink peony root and drop them a bag of apples, exchange Sheldon's shoes that are wearing out far to soon (he upgraded to his favorite Merrils), get a pumpkin spice tea & muffin, pick up Cooper, make a bank deposit and pick up Opa before returning to the ranch at 2 to eat.
I quickly ate; preheated the oven and prepping the sourdough loaf then planted the peony roots. S hit the couch but did come out to roll a hose and fix a rail before heading back into the couch. I put loaf in oven and got to work on the computer with so much to catch up on.
While the bread cooked, the wind howled (high is 17) and Sheldon snored I wrote the purple mirror tutorial, shared on sites and sent to sponsor then created a Hometalk post for it too. S woke after 4:30 and ran the compost to the pit in the ranger. He then test drove the push mower around the round pen. I created more ads for pieces for sale hoping to get things moving again. S tack welded the cross break that a horses rubbing their butt broke and hung back up and was back in to relax on the couch achy from his shot.
The sourdough loaf went well with the last of the chili and kale salad. B arrived after working late at 7:30. She braved the wind to feed the 2 horses then took them inside for some tweaking and such. S hit the tub after supper and then to lay in bed to watch ball game. I watered the indoor plants which have increased with Shaina bringing more home :). Bottling pomegranate kombucha and brewing a new batch were next on my list before I ate my pumpkin muffin as dessert yum.
I had helped Britt get the 2 horses in the barn holding door from the heavy wind. Back to my computer work I saw the 3 mares lope past thru the yard to the barn having looped around. I went out to find she had let them in and was trimming Pepper. She then did KD's fronts while I put polysporin on Switch's cut butt and supervise the herd, feed the cats then help get them all out and herded back in the paddock. I came in with Britt following shortly after tidying barn. She and Coop headed home around 9:30. S was still watching TV but once he shut off at 10 I started my Blindspot. I finished season 4 last night now moving thru the 5th and final season.
