New waking spring hours 7:30 for the last few weeks LOL but again another overcast dreary day ahead. Horses were fed and doctored earlier today after 9. I created a new FB cover photo.
I cracked out a fresh tea towel … from my wedding shower stash!! That's right I still have more yet too. At my shower folks were cutting edge by using tea towels as reusable wrapping paper and has kept me in fresh tea towels for 30 years and going!!
Lunch I heated up the burger meal from last night with great success. I dosed Bandit's eye at 1:30 and then drove to town!! You read it right I left the ranch after another 10 seclusion!! My first stop was at the waste staion to toss my wee little bag of smelly trash and grab the mail that has not been picked up for weeks. Next it was to drop off some games and goodies at the Paetz's along with Aislyn's car seat. We had a socially distanced visit thru Archer's window. It was most entertaining especially since they have a few "rats" aka gophers that live under their deck.
My next stop was to pick up a dresser from a lady who had it set out her front door. I was armed with warm roping gloves and it was small enough to move easily. The gloves came in handy for the next stop too at the car wash to hold the water gun. Now they go in the garage laundry, easy peasy.
The liquor store was a super easy stop. Yes they have a new curbside pick up but I did not call ahead. No worries all the doors automatically open, I grabbed the Irish cream held it up for her to scan thru the plexiglass shield, paid via touchless contact and out the door in about 2 minutes if that.
My last stop was rather branchy, it was the drive thru at Tim's. Sharon and I chatted about the way they press on the lids with their palms most of the time so I ordered mine lidless. It was a great idea until trying to drive thru the pot holes to get out of the drive thru and town roads!! Amanda came up with best solution, take go cup and pour directly in from just the cup only order!
Back at the ranch I enjoyed my tea before going on an hour search for Kaylin’s missing Harry Potter book. I found ones Shaina was looking for and loads of Kaylin memories but no boooks. It makes me crazy when something goes missing. I hauled up the vanity pieces to be picked up tomorrow while searching. This is also part of my weight workout along with daily bale lifting. Finally I gave up and hope they show up somewhere.
I enjoyed the shrimp couscous left overs for supper before I kicked my own butt to get out to the garage and work. I put on the gloves and unloaded the dresser.
why would anyone remove the original pulls and add shiny knobs and take off the feet? I will make her pretty again!!
Then onto the dining table. The edges are so tedious. Each little bit with folded sand paper ended up wearing away edges on my nails too LOL. I worked for over an hour and was half done.
Time for fresh air and the evening bale work out. Added to this weight is the challenge of crossing the super icy paddocks with said bale. I distributed it out, added ointment to B’s eye and was back inside the garage. The table base with the peeling paint was next on my squirrel list. I ended up spending almost 2 hour peeling of the glossy black latex paint. Again like the dining table the large flat surfaces were much faster then the wee little edges/legs.
At 10 I wrapped it up coming in to grab an ice tea and crawl into bed. I caught up todays blog before watching the final 2 Ozark episodes. I have lot my zest for Scrabble as you can tell; too many ads on that game and too many words over and over again like Qi, aa, si and weird words that make no sense but count if you just try letters like mixt. The cliff hanger ending of Ozark is nuts!
