Gorgeous weather day!!!

Another awake before 7:30 but not out of bed till after 9 with a few coffees enjoyed in bed. I then headed out to do the usual hay toss and meds, this time like last night way out in the paddocks. I did a bit of marketing before I was out working on the dining table which got another clear coat, the large feet holes filled on the wood dresser and the second coat of soft purple on the tall dresser.

S did his morning internet catch up and ventured out to work on his welding project. He came in for lunch and a beer and catch the news cooking a pizza. I came in to join him then headed back out to finish the last side of the dresser. Chef's plate box was delivered just before noon so we have meals for the week.

The dresser then had gold hand painted around the edges very similar to the original look. I think it is just the perfect bling. The pulls were scrubbed up ready to reinstall. S went back to the project. It was a beauty day. I headed out around 2:30 to give Bird her meds and do eye meds for Bandit and KD and got a walk in. It also included ice breaking and water routing and checking out the welded cross. While there I swept up all the hay dropped when we brought bales down getting a big bucket to feed later.

This was the scooped hay yesterday.. wow right?

welder hard at work

The horses were super happy in the PLUS 12 sunshine too. But in typical AB style we are forecast for snow tomorrow and crappy low temps all Easter w/e. The bees were out in full force today too. S dropped the cross off while he went to shoot the first gopher of the year. I started spraying the back black but when I flipped it there was dirt in the grooves. I dug most out with a screwdriver, S grabbed the wire wheel and tried with not much luck. Once it was as best as we could get I finished spraying the front. It is not ready to hang. Over 8 years later and only a few hours of work and mission accomplished ;).

I was catching the news at 5 with a cold drink when I remembered that the fruit trees needed pruning now and seeing the forecast is going to shit I best get it done. I headed out with no coat it was so nice at 14 now. S was tidying up his work area and dropped the wheel barrow off on his way by to go in for a beer and catch the news. I finished up at 6:30 and came in to start the first Chef's Plate meal : cornmeal crusted fish. Britt and Cooper arrived soon after and got busy feeding horses and scrubbing up Roo's face. She also administered Bandit's nightly eye meds. Thanks B!

She was off by 7:30 and we enjoyed our meal soon after. I would make again, especially the salad. Then it was time for a shower and catching up on blog posts for me while S relaxed, played scrabble and found a movie for us tonight. It is Coffee & Kareem. However when I went in at 9 he was sound asleep LOL. So I started a new Netflix show called Restaurants on the Edge recommended by Kaylin. It is good, I too recommend. I also got an alert I had another Etsy sale!!
