Xmas Eve 2018

Back to our coffee in bed ritual then S went out to roll a bale. I looked out and noticed the horses did not follow him as usual but rather were enjoying the grass in the yard. I headed out and rounded them up and off to follow him.

Then it was food and beverage prepping followed by a nap in front of a lovely fire for one of us while the other kept on prepping. Mom was the first to arrive bringing milk for the soup just before 4. Kaylin and Kyle and Brit and Dave were not long after then Shaina and Jacob and the Paetz family.

A fun evening of snacking, visiting and games ensued. Travis made it after we had the traditional oyster soup in time to get his bowl. Craig, Amanda, Asher and Ada left at 6:30 to prep for Xmas eve play at church, I kept the 2 littles. Mom and Sheldon headed in to watch and take in church after 7. Pool and guitar hero were challenges being had.

 Lexi managed to get herself stuck under the pantry shelving unit

The church goers were all back around 9 for more visiting and eating then loaded up the kids to get home around 10. Games continued into the wee hours of the morning for the rest of us with some heading off to bed every so often. What a fun evening with the family.
